Jordanstown School applied for 30 native trees from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s Plant One Million Trees Programme.
Our pupils helped the Mayor, Councillor Mark Cooper, to start planting in January 2024 and we added new apple and pear trees to our fruit tree collection.
The rest of the trees will be planted in the coming week by pupils in our Primary and Post Primary departments and we look forward to adding to the biodiversity in our school grounds.
